Welcome to NARTS Britain. By using Narts Britain (including narts.org.uk and its related sites, services and tools), you agree to the following terms with Narts Britain Limited.
If you have any questions, please refer to our help section.
This Agreement is effective on October 30, 2006, for current users, and upon acceptance for new users.

The following definitions have the same meaning whether they are singular or plural.

’Student’ means a customer who reserves and/or books one or more Services offered on the Website

‘Events’ means the offering of bookings to training events.

‘Narts Britain means Narts Food & Leisure Limited

‘General Terms and Conditions’ means these general terms and conditions for booking and use, as amended from time to time.

‘Rules and Restrictions’ means the terms and conditions applicable to the Suppliers (Training Providers) with whom the Customer has concluded the contract at the time of booking the course, not with Narts Britain. Click here to read the Service Agreement carefully.

‘Service’ means a service offered on the Website, such as the booking of training services and assessment services with approved training providers.

‘Partner’ means a supplier of Services, such as a trainer, tutor or training provider.

‘Website’ means the www.narts.orguk and related websites.

Before you may become a user of Narts Britain, you must read and accept all the terms in, and linked to, this Terms of Service and the Narts Britain Privacy Policy. We strongly recommend that, as you read this Terms of Service, you also access and read the linked information. By accepting the Terms of Service, you agree that this Terms of Service and Privacy Policy will apply whenever you use Narts Britain sites or services, or when you use the tools we make available to interact with Narts Britain sites and services.
These General Terms of Service apply to offering and providing of the Services by Narts Britain Limited operates the Website which acts as an interface between the Customer and the various Training providers.
These General Terms and Conditions are subject to the Suppliers’ Rules and Restrictions which are made available to the Customer and which the Customer also accepts at the moment that a booking is actually placed. It is the Customer’s responsibility to familiarise himself/herself with the Suppliers’ Rules and Restrictions.
The General Terms and Conditions can be changed by Narts Britain Limited at any time without prior notice, although such changes will not apply to bookings that have already been accepted by Narts Britain Limited on behalf of the Supplier(s) concerned. It is therefore essential that the Customer reads, saves and/or prints a copy of the General Terms and Conditions at the time the booking is placed, in order to be aware of the provisions in force.

The Website helps the Customer to find training products and to make the necessary reservations, and acts as an interface in the transactions involved with the Partners. The Customer must be at least 18 years old, be legally authorised to enter into contractual obligations, have the requisite consent or authority to act for or on behalf of any persons included in a booking and must use the Website in accordance with these General Terms and Conditions and the Website Terms of Use.
The Customer is responsible for his / her activities on the Website (financially or otherwise), including the possible use of his / her username and password. The Customer guarantees that the information entered by him / her on the Website in relation to him / her is accurate.
Any use of the Website that is fraudulent or is in conflict with these General Terms and Conditions shall be reason for refusing the Customer access to the Services offered by Narts Britain Limited and the Suppliers or to the other functionalities of the Website.
In these Terms, “we” means Narts Britain Limited and “you” means the person or business that purchases delegate places on classroom courses or virtual courses set out in the invoice.
Narts Britain does not deliver or supply regulated training courses. All courses are delivered by approved Training Providers and you accept the Training Provider Terms of service when placing a booking either online or over the phone. Narts Britain acts as a booking agent.

While using Narts Britain sites, services and tools, you will not:

  • post content or classes in an inappropriate category or areas on our sites and services;
  • violate any laws, third party rights or our policies
  • use ouruse our sites, services or tools if you are not able to form legally binding contracts, are under the age of 18, or are temporarily or indefinitely suspended from using our sites, services or tools;
  • fail to deliver payment for a class purchased by you, unless the provider has changed the class’s description after you purchased, a clear typographical error is made, or you cannot authenticate the provider’s identity;
  • fail to deliver a class purchased from you, unless the student fails to meet the posted terms, or you cannot authenticate the student’s identity;
  • manipulate the price of any class or interfere with other users’ listings;
  • circumvent or manipulate our fee structure, the billing process, or fees owed to Narts Britain;
  • post false, inaccurate, misleading, defamatory, or libelous content (including personal information);
  • take any action that may undermine the feedback or ratings systems (such as displaying, importing or exporting feedback information off of the sites or using it for purposes unrelated to Narts Britain);
  • transfer your Narts Britain account (including feedback) and User ID to another party without our consent;
  • distribute or post spam, unsolicited, or bulk electronic communications, chain letters, or pyramid schemes;
  • distribute viruses or any other technologies that may harm Narts Britain, or the interests or property of Narts Britain users;
  • export or re-export any Narts Britain tools except in compliance with the export control laws of any relevant jurisdictions;
  • copy, modify or distribute rights or content from the Narts Britain sites, service or tools or Narts Britain copyrights and trademarks; or harvest or otherwise collect information about users, including email addresses, without their consent.

Narts Britain and our users work together to keep our sites and services working properly and safely. Please report problems, offensive content, and policy violations to us. Without limiting other remedies, we may limit, suspend or terminate our service and user accounts, prohibit access to our sites and their content, services and tools, delay or remove hosted content, and take technical and legal steps to keep users off the sites if we think that they are creating problems or possible legal liabilities, infringing the intellectual property rights of third parties, or acting inconsistently with the letter or spirit of our policies (for example, and without limitation, conducting off-Narts Britain transactions, feedback manipulation, circumventing temporary or permanent suspensions or users who we believe are harassing our employees or other users). Additionally, we may, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, suspend or terminate accounts of users who may be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights of third parties. We also reserve the right to cancel unconfirmed accounts or accounts that have been inactive for a long time, or to modify or discontinue Narts Britain sites, services or tools.

Visiting https://www.narts.org.uk or sending emails to Narts Britain constitutes electronic communications. You consent to receive electronic communications and you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically, via email and on the Site, satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

If you use this site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You may not assign or otherwise transfer your account to any other person or entity. You acknowledge that Narts Britain is not responsible for third party access to your account that results from theft or misappropriation of your account. Narts Britain and its associates reserve the right to refuse or cancel service, terminate accounts, or remove or edit content in our sole discretion.

Narts Britain does not knowingly collect, either online or offline, personal information from persons under the age of thirteen. If you are under 18, you may https://www.narts.org.uk only with permission of a parent or guardian.

In order to secure your course you must pay Narts Britain Limited or the training provider appropriate costs in full, or subject to agreement, in part, with the remainder due before the course start date.

Customers may apply for a place on the course with our training providers via the website interface and pay a premium price on the day of the training course to the training provider. However, a reservation without payment is not a confirmation of enrolment. Customers will be allowed to join the training depending on the size of the class room available, if the class room is full, customers may be asked to attend the following course.

Where a training course is offered at a discount from our list price, the discounted price offered is subject to payment with booking and availability of places.

Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, cheque or bank transfer. Bank details are available upon request.

Narts Britain Limited reserves the right to change prices without notice.

It is a requirement for the student to communicate effectively in English, to comply with this the trainer will assess your level of your English before the start of the course, if this requirement is not met you will not be allowed to attend the course.

Using EasyApply

  • The EasyApply services includes processing of your licence application and fees associated with the application.
  • When using EasyApply, you must start your application process within 30 day of purchase by providing the requested information.
  • You must return any documents sent to you for review or signatures within 10 working days or receiving them.
  • Narts Britain reserves the right to cancel the EasyApply application if the initial application is not completed within 30 days of purchase or if the required documents are not sent back within 10 working days.
  • In the event of your EasyApply application being cancelled, you will not receive a refund of the fees paid.
If you need to cancel or amend the course booking
  • If you need to cancel or amend a confirmed booking, cancellation/amendment charges may incur.
Rescheduling your course
  • If you are unable to attend on the scheduled course date reserved, you must notify Narts Britain and/or the Training Provider prior to the course start date. If you do, we will agree to reschedule the course date with you for any course date within the next 6 months, at the same location, subject to availability. There will be a fee of £150 for this.
  • A reschedule request must be sent to us either via telephone or email 48 hours before the start of the course. We only allow a maximum of 2 reschedules per booking. You will be required to complete a new booking if you do not attend the course within 6 months of the initial course start date.
  • If you have purchased the Gold package, you can reschedule your course for free. You must reschedule your course at least 72 hours before your course starts. If your course is starting within 72 hours, you will be charged the standard £150 reschedule fee
  • If you have purchased the Platinum package, you can reschedule your course for free. You must reschedule your course at least 24 hours before your course starts. If your course is starting within 24 hours, you will be charged the standard £150 reschedule fee
  • If you do not reschedule your course before it starts or fail to attend the course you have booked, regardless of the package you have purchased, you will be required to make and pay for a new booking if you wish to take the course in the future
Insufficient ID brought to the course and lateness
  • It is a legal requirement to have ID on you at all times during your training. If you do not bring the required IDs to your course, you will need to be rescheduled onto another course and you will be charged a £150 rescheduling fee.
  • If you are going to be late to the course, you must contact Narts Britain and/or your training provider immediately. If you are going to be substantially late to the course, you will have to be rescheduled onto another course. You will be charged a £150 rescheduling fee for this.
Cancelling your course
  • Our courses are non-refundable 24 hours after booking. You can receive a full refund if you inform Narts Britain within 24 hours of booking of your intention to cancel, and you will be refunded the amount paid for the course. Courses cancelled after 24 hours of booking will not be eligible for a refund.
  • If you have paid a deposit and fail to notify of non-attendance, you are not eligible for a reschedule. Then you will not receive a reimbursement of your deposit and the remaining payment will be due.
  • In the event of non-attendance where payment has been received, you will not be eligible for a refund.
  • If you have to cancel your course due to a medical reason, we would require evidence i.e Doctor’s letter. A handling and administration fee of £90 would be charged or deducted from your order amount when you require a refund due to a medical reason.
Cancellations to courses by the Training Provider
  • If a Training Provider cancels a course, you are eligible for a full refund for the cancelled course. If your training provider conducts a literacy test and you are unable to pass it, you will be given a refund. A handling and administration fee of £90 will be deducted from your order amount.
Discounted courses
  • We operate a no refund and no cancellation policy for discounted courses.
Corporate/In-house courses
  • Courses arranged specifically to train staff members or candidates from the same organisation fall in this category. Full Payment must be received 5 working days before course start date.
  • All corporate/in-house bookings are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation by the customer or failure to pay the total due amount in full .

Narts Britain complies with the law and operates the following refund policy in respect of the cancellation of individual course bookings.

If a course is run exclusively for a Corporate Customer – at a training provider’s premises, on a customer site or any other alternative venue – the same refund terms apply in the event of cancellation, but an alternative course date can be arranged by agreement.

Resits
  • You must attend the resit session you book. If you fail to attend the session on time, you will lose any resit fees paid.
  • If a customer cannot attend a booked resit then they need to inform Narts Britain at least 72 hours before the resit.
  • In instances where unlimited resits are included in the purchased package, customers are required to turn up to booked resits as a condition of the unlimited results. If a customer fails to attend to a booked resit then they will forfeit the right to any further resits as part of their purchased package. Any further resits would therefore be charged at the standard resit price of £90.
  • Customers who have purchased unlimited resits via the Gold and Platinum packages are required to take all resits within 12 months of the date of purchase of the course, or before new course material is introduced by the Awarding Body, whichever is the sooner.

The awarding body introduces new course material and exam content every 5 years. Unlimited resits can only be claimed against the resit relating to the specific course material and exam taken. Please check with the Awarding Body to ascertain the period after which old course resits are no longer valid or available. Any resits booked after 12 months from the date of purchase will incur the standard £90 resit fee.

If you fail the EFAW or English Assessment
  • You will be required to leave the course. You may reschedule the course to another date for a discounted reschedule fee of £20 or cancel your booking and get a refund. Cancellation of booking will incur a £70 administration fee.

In the unlikely event it becomes necessary to change your course, in total or in part, we will inform you as soon as is reasonably possible of any necessary changes. You shall have the choice of:
Accepting the changed arrangements;
Or purchasing another course from us (and paying or receiving a refund in respect of any differences);
Or cancelling your course and receiving a full refund of all payments made.

Assessments are marked by the training provider’s awarding organisation, and results are made available in 14 working days of sitting the exam, there may be a further delay in exam results by the awarding body. The results are provided by the training provider and can also be checked online.
Narts Britain Limited will not be liable for any kind of loss in case of a delay in result by the training provider or their nominated awarding organisation.

Students and Training Providers share the responsibility for making sure purchases facilitated by Narts Britain are exciting, rewarding and hassle-free. We strongly encourage students to work with training providers before opening a claim relating to a purchase.We require Narts Britain training providers to comply with our resolution process. Students and providers permit us to make a final decision, in our sole discretion, on any claim that a student files with Narts Britain under the Narts Britain Training Guarantee Policy. If we resolve a dispute in the student’s favor, we will refund the student for the full cost of the training (including any applicable taxes), and we will require the provider to reimburse us for the amount due to the student. Without limiting the foregoing, providers may not have to pay a reimbursement for a Narts Britain claim if they provide sufficient documentation (for example, proof that the training was as described). Training Providers agree to allow us to debit their monthly account balance for amounts due to students. If training providers do not provide Narts Britain with a valid reimbursement method, we may collect amounts owed using other collection mechanisms, including retaining collection agencies. We may also suspend or restrict training providers from selling on our sites until payment is made.
Correcting Mistakes in Payments to Students or Training Providers. We reserve the right to fix any processing errors we discover. We will correct any processing errors by debiting or crediting the payment method used for the erroneous student or training provider refunds or reimbursements.

Narts Britain offers 100% refund on your course fees if you attend the course and dislike it. You must satisfy the following requirements:

  • You must attend the course on time. If you are late to the course you will not qualify.
  • You must not attempt any assessments or exams.
  • If you were asked to leave the course due to ID documents, failure to complete prior assessments (eLearning) or English assessments, you will not qualify for the refund.
  • You will not qualify for the refund if you were asked to leave the course by the trainer for causing disruption or nuisance.
  • You must inform us with 24 hours of leaving the course that you wish to exercise the Narts Britain Money back guarantee.
  • You cannot exercise the Money back guarantee if the reasons for leaving the course are anything beyond your dislike for the course.

Joining Narts Britain and listing training courses is free. We do charge a fee per booking. You have an opportunity to review and accept the fees that you will be charged based on your particular Fee Schedule, available within your account information. Changes to that schedule are effective after we provide you with at least fourteen days’ notice by posting the changes on the Narts Britain site. We may choose to temporarily change the fees for our services for promotional events (for example, free listing days) or new services, and such changes are effective when we post the temporary promotional event or new service on the sites.Unless otherwise stated, all fees are quoted in GBP. Fees will be debited from your monthly account balance. If your payment method fails or your account is past due, we may collect fees owed using other collection mechanisms. (This includes charging other payment methods on file with us, retaining collection agencies and legal counsel, and for accounts over 180 days past due).

a. Definition. For purposes of these Terms of Service, the term “Content” includes, without limitation, videos, audio clips, written posts and comments, information, data, text, photographs, software, scripts, graphics, and interactive features generated, provided, or otherwise made accessible on or through the Services. For the purposes of this Agreement, “Content” also includes all User Content (as defined below).

b. User Content. All Content added, created, uploaded, submitted, distributed, or posted to the Services by users (collectively “User Content”), whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, is the sole responsibility of the person who originated such User Content. You acknowledge that all Content, including User Content, accessed by you using the Services is at your own risk and you will be solely responsible for any damage or loss to you or any other party resulting therefrom. You may delete or remove your User Content, either yourself or through a request made to one of our employees or affiliates. When your User Content is deleted, it will be removed from the Services. However, you understand that any removed User Content may persist in backup copies for a reasonable period of time (but will not follow removal be shared with others).

c. Notices and Restrictions. The Services may contain Content specifically provided by us, our partners or our users and such Content is protected by copyrights, trademarks, service marks, patents, trade secrets or other proprietary rights and laws. You shall abide by and maintain all copyright notices, information, and restrictions contained in any Content accessed through the Services.

d. Use License. Subject to these Terms of Service, we grant each user of the Services a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable and non-transferable license to use (i.e., to download and display locally) Content solely for personal, non-commercial purposes. Use, reproduction, modification, distribution or storage of any Content for other than personal, non-commercial use is expressly prohibited without prior written permission from us or from the copyright holder identified in such Content’s copyright notice. You shall not sell, license, rent, or otherwise use or exploit any Content for commercial use or in any way that violates any third party right.

e. License Grant. By submitting User Content through the Services, you hereby do and shall grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid, sublicensable and transferable license to use, edit, modify, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, perform, and otherwise fully exploit the User Content in connection with the Site, the Services and our (and our successors’ and assigns’) businesses, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Site or the Services (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels (including, without limitation, third party websites and feeds). You also hereby do and shall grant each user of the Site and/or the Services a non-exclusive license to access your User Content through the Site and/or the Services, and to use, edit, modify, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display and perform such User Content. For clarity, the foregoing license grants to us and our users does not affect your other ownership or license rights in your User Content, including the right to grant additional licenses to your User Content, unless otherwise agreed in writing. You represent and warrant that you have all rights to grant such licenses to us without infringement or violation of any third party rights, including without limitation, any privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, contract rights, or any other intellectual property or proprietary rights.

f. Availability of Content. We do not guarantee that any Content will be made available on the Site or through the Services. Further, we have no obligation to monitor the Site or the Services. However, we reserve the right to (i) remove, edit or modify any Content in our sole discretion, at any time, without notice to you and for any reason (including, but not limited to, upon receipt of claims or allegations from third parties or authorities relating to such Content or if we are concerned that you may have violated these Terms of Service), or for no reason at all and (ii) to remove or block any Content from the Services.

You will not hold Narts Britain responsible for other users’ content, actions or inactions, or courses they list. You acknowledge that we are not the training provider. While we may help facilitate the resolution of disputes through various programs, we have no control over and do not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of classes advertised, the truth or accuracy of users’ content or listings, the ability of educators to offer classes, the ability of students to pay for classes, or that a student or training provider will actually complete a transaction or return a class purchase.
Further, we cannot guarantee continuous or secure access to our sites, services or tools, and operation of our sites, services or tools may be interfered with by numerous factors outside of our control. Accordingly, to the extent legally permitted, we exclude all implied warranties, terms and conditions. We are not liable for any loss of money, goodwill or reputation, or any special, indirect or consequential damages arising, directly or indirectly, out of your use of or your inability to use our sites, services and tools.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the disclaimer of warranties or exclusion of damages, so such disclaimers and exclusions may not apply to you.
Regardless of the previous paragraphs, if we are found to be liable, our liability to you or to any third party is limited to (a) the full cost of the training course (including any applicable tax) and its original costs, (b) the total fees (under Narts Britain Fees and Services) you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the action giving rise to the liability, or (c) £100.

The sites contain robot exclusion headers. Much of the information on the sites is updated on a real-time basis and is proprietary or is licensed to Narts Britain by our users or third parties. You agree that you will not use any robot, spider, scraper or other automated means to access the sites for any purpose without our express hand written permission. Additionally, you agree that you will not:
take any action that imposes or may impose (in our sole discretion) an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure; copy, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, distribute, or publicly display any content (except for your information) from the sites without the prior express written permission of CourseHorse and the appropriate third party, as applicable; interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the sites, services or tools, or any activities conducted on or with the sites, services or tools; or bypass our robot exclusion headers or other measures we may use to prevent or restrict access to the sites.

By listing a class on Narts Britain sites, you agree to pay Narts Britain fees for such, assume full responsibility for the content of the listing and class offered, and accept the following listing conditions: When you list a training course on Narts Britain sites, your listing will be posted on Narts Britain sites and can be viewed in your account. Your listing may not be immediately searchable by keyword or category for several hours (or up to 24 hours in some circumstances), so Narts Britain can’t guarantee exact listing durations.
